LED Profile Installation Guide

There is potential danger of electrical shock when operating electrical components.

Make sure power is turned off before installation
Do not install in a sealed environment – allow for heat dissipation and adequate ventilation
Install Aluminium LED Profile in properly rated environment
Aluminium LED Profile stock length is 1.8 mNote: Aluminium LED Profile is rated IP20; it is recommended to remove lens cover for cleaning on a scheduled basis

Factory Termination
Aluminium LED Profile is assembled and does not require any mechanical work. Connect lighting as per LED Ribbon wiring diagrams.

Field Termination
1. Lay out and measure the length of the LED Ribbon

2. Cut Aluminium Track and Lens with mitre saw to suit LED Ribbon length – add 6 mm extra length for end cap. Miter joints at 45° can allow the track to take 90° corner turns
Tip: Cut the track and lens in place for a flush edge

3. Apply silicone adhesive on to track

4. Place LED Ribbon light on the flat surface in the channel

5. Use masking tape to fasten LED Ribbon in place while adhesive cures

6. Allow adhesive minimum of 24 hours to dry; it takes 7 days to fully cure
Tip: Align multiple aluminium tracks end to end to connect pieces longer than stock length

7. Fit the lens onto the aluminium track

8. If a hole doesn’t already exist, drill one through an end cap to allow LED lighting lead wires to pull through

9. Fit end caps onto the finished profile

If you are fitting/moulding your own coving, you can choose how far down from the ceiling you want it. Once your coving is in place, a good tip for positioning your LED tape is to fix it as far from the back wall as you can, so as to avoid seeing visible light-dotting. (Try to fit it at least 50mm from the wall.)

An “aluminum extrusion” is the end result of the work that is done to create the parts, pieces, or products through the extrusion process. Some tubes are round, some are oval, a few are squared.

The shape is the profile or die at the end of the tube that is used to create the shape of the toothpaste as it goes on your toothbrush.

There are various types of fittings used in the manual tray installation.

Types of Trunking

Cable trunking is a manufactured enclosure for the protection of cables.

Purpose of use: Where applicable, surface and underground(duct) areas.

Cable Trunking Sizes: 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm, 225 mm and 300 mm.

Types of Trunking Fittings: Bend, coupler, T-joint, endcap.

Types of Trunking

Adaptable trunking shall be used for power cables and data cables to run parallel in two different compartments with partition.

Mini trunking is suitable for surface wiring work indoors where necessitated,

either due to aesthetic or technical requirements such as case of extension of existing wiring.

PVC (to know full form) insulated or other insulated cables shall be used in this type of installation.

Wherever data cables are used for information outlet, trunking shall be used.

This system using PVC trunking shall be adopted in residential building, or office building where there is a need of tidy wiring system.

This type of trunking for distribution of voice data and power should be used

for cable management and should accept data socket and power socket or other wiring accessory like switches, indicators etc.

Preferred size of PVC trunking should be 25 x 16 mm, 32 x 16 mm,

40 x 25 mm, 40 x 40 mm and for adaptable trunking it should be 100 x 34 mm or 100 x 50 mm or 160 x 50 mm or 200 x 50 mm.

Installation Method of Trunking

Metallic or Pvc trunking shall be fixed by means of suitable screws to approved type of asbestos or fibre fixing plugs, at intervals not exceeding 60 cm for all sizes for mini trunking.

Incase of adaptable trunking, the screwing system shall be such that weight of the trunking and hold firmly on the wall or ceiling.

On either side of joints, the distance of the fixing arrangement shall not exceed 15 cm from the point.

All trunking body shall be fixed directly on wall or ceiling as above.

Trunking shall be used only on dry walls and ceiling,

avoiding outside walls as far as possible and shall not be buried in the walls not fixed in proximity to gas,

steam or water pipes.

Trunking shall be with pill off cover for protection against dust.

Pill off cover shall be removed only on completion of painting of walls.

PVC Trunking (Casing & Capping)

The wire ways in straight runs should be in single piece as far as possible so as to avoid joints.

Trunking shall be of 2 m or 3 m standard for the ease of installation.

All joints shall be scarfed or cut diagonally in longitudinal section,

and shall be smoothed down by fitting to make the joints a very close fit as far as possible and without burrs.

They shall be screwed at joints with with two or more screws as would be necessary.

Joints arising out of the bends or diversion shall be done using standard accessories like internal angle,

external angle elbows, T-joint and end caps.

For the separation of data cables and power cables there shall be partition in both trunking and accessories.

In-riser and out-riser shall have variable angle for alignment at the wall corners.

الفرق بين المحركات الحثية (1 فاز و3 فاز)، يعد المحرك الحثي نوع من أنواع محركات التيار المتناوب يعمل على مبدأ الحث الكهرومغناطيسي بين الجزء الثابت والدوار.

ويعرف المحرك الحثي أيضاً باسم المحرك الغير متزامن، لأنه يدور دوماً بسرعة أقل من السرعة التزامنية أو التوافقية، وذلك بسبب ضياع جزء من قدرة دورانها للتغلب على المفاقيد الحديدية والميكانيكية.

حيث تصمم المحركات الحثية للعمل إما على التيار المتناوب آحادي الوجه (1 فاز) أو ثلاثي الأوجه (3 فاز)، فما الفرق الرئيسي بين المحركات الحثية (1 فاز و3 فاز).

هو نوع من المحركات الغير متزامنة والتي تعمل على التيار المتناوب ثلاثي الأوجه، ويمكن تشغيله إما بتوصيل ملفاته الثابتة على شكل نجمة أو دلتا حسب المتطلبات والبيانات الفنية للمحرك، وتناسب هذه المحركات الأحمال الكبيرة الموجودة في المصانع، نظراً لقدراته العالية وتحمله على التيارات العالية.

يمكن لهذه المحركات العمل بشكل ذاتي دون أي وسيلة مساعدة بفضل وجود ثلاث موجات تفصل بينهما 120 درجة ناتجة من مصدر كهرباء 3 فاز، والذي يسمح بدوران المحرك بسلاسة أفضل بكثير من محركات أحادية الوجه التي تحتاج إلى مكثف بدء تشغيل.

ويمكن تفضيل هذه المحركات عن محركات أحادية الوجه (1 فاز) من ناحية القدرة التشغيلية، وتحملها للتيارات العالية، والكفاءة، ونسبة المفاقيد فيها أقل.

كما نعلم أن المحرك الكهربائي الحثي بصرف النظر عن نوعه يعتمد مبدأ عمله على الحث الكهرومغناطيسي بين الجزين (الثابت والدوار).

ويطلق على المحركات الحثية باسم المحركات الغير تزامنية، نظراً لأن العضو الدوار يدور بسرعة أقل من السرعة المتزامنة، نتيجة وجود ضياع جزء من قدرة دورانها للتغلب على المفاقد الحديدية والميكانيكية كما ذكرنا في بداية المقال.

في نظام آحادي الوجه (1 فاز) في العادة يدور الجزء الدوار للمحرك الحثي عند إنشاء مجال مغناطيسي على أطراف الجزء الثابت، ولكنه لا يبدأ بالدوران لأن الملفات تتغذي من موجة واحدة بنفس التيار في نفس الوقت، لذلك يتطلب وسيلة مساعدة كمكثف كهربائي لكي تستمر هذه المحركات في العمل بنفس اتجاه الدوران الذي بدأت فيه.

لكن الأمر يختلف مع المحركات الحثية ذو الثلاث أوجه (3 فاز)، إذ يمكنه أن يبدأ ذاتياً دون أي وسيلة مساعدة، وذلك لأن مصدر كهرباء (3 فاز) ينتج ثلاث موجات الفرق بين كل موجة وموجة 120 درجة، فكل موجة تقترب من الصفر يستمر المحرك في الدوران بسبب وجود موجة ثانية في حالة صعود، وهكذا.
